How the drivers and chassis are chosen

Division A

When a season ends , the top 7 drivers at it's finish become captains , the bottom 3 drivers are moved down into the B division and become the top 3 captains . The top 3 drivers from the B division are moved into division A and are available for drafting . On draft night the 7 captains , beginning with the first place finisher , choose a teamate . Then the 7th place finisher chooses a chassis , followed by the 6th place finisher and so on .

Division B

After the bottom 3 drivers from division A have moved into the top 3 positions in B , the bottom 3 drivers in division B at seasons end are moved to division C . The 3 top drivers in division C are moved into division B and are available for draft . On draft night the 7 captains , beginning with the first place finisher , choose a teamate . Then the 7th place finisher chooses a chassis , followed by the 6th place finisher and so on .

Division C

Once the top 3 drivers from division C are moved into division B , the bottom 3 drivers in divison B become the top 3 captains in division C . On draft night the 7 captains , beginning with the first place finisher , choose a teamate . Then the 7th place finisher chooses a chassis , followed by the 6th place finisher and so on .

Division D

Once the top 3 drivers from division D are moved into division C , the bottom 3 drivers in divison C become the top 3 captains in division C . On draft night the 7 captains , beginning with the first place finisher , choose a teamate . Then the 7th place finisher chooses a chassis , followed by the 6th place finisher and so on .

Driver Trades

After all the teams are selected , each division captain has the option of trading his teamate with another captain within his division for a different driver . A captain cannot place himself on the trading block in hopes for a better chassis . The only stipulation for trades is that both involved captains agree on the trades .
